International connections through guest speakers and exchange programmes
The HTK Academy of Design regularly invites well-known personalities from the fields of Advertising and Design education to give lectures in the Academy. For example, David Carson, Alessio Leonardi, Norbert Bunge, Christoph Lauenstein (animation film Oscar-winner), Michael Barche (KNSK), Holger Matthies, Uwe Lösch, Reinhard Springer (Springer & Jacoby), Lars Kilansder (Otto Versand), Francoise Chalet and many others have given lectures in the Academy.
As part of the international development of communications design, the HTK organises exchange programmes for our students and lecturers with other Graphic Design academies, for example the Friends of Design School in Cape Town, the Muchina Art and Design University in St. Petersburg and the Insititute of Art in Long Island, New York.
