Computers and digital technology
Alongside the traditional education, there is also an great emphasis on the understanding and use of digital technology. The HTK Academy of Design provides the same hardware and software which Graphic Designers currently use within leading design studios.
Students at the HTK Academy of Design start using leading Graphic Design software straight away in the 1st Semester.
The HTK Academy of Design has a network of over 100 computers (Apple Macintosh and PCs), in four computer rooms, supported by high performance servers, as well as printers and scanners located in additional work stations. Lessons are given using video projectors and screens.
Each students receives an HTK Academy of Design e-mail address, free and unlimited access to the Intenet, access to our own Intranet and storage space on our computer servers for their digital projects. Furthermore, the students are given the opportunity to link up their own laptops to our servers and the Internet over an wireless Airport system. Computer support is provided by our in-house technical staff.
